The Crisafulli Government has delivered on several key commitments within its first month in office, as outlined in its 100 Day Plan. Early milestones include initiatives targeting cost-of-living relief, healthcare improvements, and government transparency.
Since ministers were sworn in, the government has taken steps to address issues such as youth crime, health, housing, and affordability. Eight deliverables from the 100 Day Plan have been completed within the first month, including:
Directing Queensland Health to prepare for the publication of real-time hospital data.
Beginning the rollout of the LNP’s Health Plan to reduce ambulance ramping and stabilise wait lists.
Implementing the Electricity Maintenance Guarantee on government-owned power plants, ensuring maintenance transparency.
Establishing clear goals and KPIs to hold ministers and directors-general accountable.
Strengthening the reporting functions of the Crime and Corruption Commission.
Appointing a Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority to assess Queensland’s infrastructure and transport needs for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Initiating work on a 20-year tourism plan.
Beginning work on making 50-cent public transport fares permanent.
In addition, the government has introduced the Making Queensland Safer Laws to Parliament, with committee hearings set to commence. The legislation is expected to be enacted before the end of the year.
Premier David Crisafulli said the government is focused on delivering the commitments outlined in its 100 Day Plan.
“Queenslanders voted for a fresh start, and we have begun addressing key challenges, including youth crime, health, housing, and cost of living,” Premier Crisafulli said.
“The Health Department has started implementing our Better Health, More Services plan, including real-time data reporting, to improve transparency and system performance.
“We have also locked in two major cost-of-living initiatives: making 50-cent public transport fares permanent and implementing the Electricity Maintenance Guarantee to ensure affordable and reliable energy supply.
“Additionally, the 20-year tourism plan is underway to support eco-tourism growth and maximise opportunities associated with the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
“The Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority has begun its review, aiming to deliver a clear roadmap for infrastructure and transport planning.”
Premier Crisafulli said the government remains committed to delivering on its election promises, ensuring accountability, and addressing the state’s pressing challenges.
