The Glamorgan Vale Branch of the QCWA celebrated a remarkable milestone, marking its 95th birthday with a morning tea at the Glamorgan Vale Community Hall on Thursday, July 24.

The event welcomed 40 guests, including members from neighbouring QCWA branches in Boonah, Esk, Glenore Grove, Lowood, and Walloon.

Guests enjoyed a delicious morning tea prepared by Glamorgan Vale Branch members.

Somerset Mayor Jason Wendt attended the celebration and congratulated the branch on its decades of dedicated community service.

Councillor Brett Freese presented on the branch’s history, based on a written account by long-time member Beryl Dawson, while Councillor Michael Bishop spoke about the Gallipoli Medical Research Foundation.

Funds raised from the day’s raffle were donated to the Foundation to support its ongoing medical research.

Attendees warmly congratulated the Glamorgan Vale Branch on 95 years of dedication and strong community connection.
