For the month of November, the gallery proudly featured Norma Street as Artist of the Month (AOM).

Her stunning collection garnered positive reviews, showcasing the breadth of her talent and creativity.

As the year draws to a close, the final AOM feature wall for 2024 highlights the Kilcoy Art Society Inc. (KASI) members, who have worked tirelessly to keep the gallery open and accessible to the public year-round.

This display is a heartfelt thank-you for their ongoing commitment and contribution to the local arts scene.

The showcase includes works from an impressive group of artists, including Pat Lawrence, Karen Westwood, Ruth Hughes, Dawn Evans, Di Taylor, Diane Sattler, Larry Rollason, Sharon Lee, Noela Lowien, Ann Caporn, Carol Robinson, Tanya Davis, Kris Wheeler, Lisa May, Michelle Ledwith, Caroline Dunning, Wendy Houston, and Jan Russell.

Visitors can view and purchase a variety of artworks in different mediums such as acrylics, oils, watercolours, pastels, pencil, and mixed media.

In addition, the gallery’s new quarterly exhibition opened in November, with a well-attended launch event.

The People’s Choice Award for this exhibition was presented to textile artist Wendy Houston for her piece, Whimsical Village.

The exhibit will run until February 2025, and the gallery is now beautifully decorated for the Christmas season, with both interior and exterior adorned with festive decorations and twinkling lights.

The gallery will remain open throughout the Christmas holidays, except for Christmas Day, Thursday to Monday, from 9am to 1pm.

KASI extends its thanks to the Somerset and Moreton Bay communities for their ongoing support throughout 2024 and looks forward to welcoming visitors in 2025.
