From November 1, 2025, home care services will change under the Australian Government’s new Aged Care Act. The Support at Home program will replace the current Home Care Packages and Short-Term Restorative Care programs.
Support at Home is designed to provide easier access to care, with more choices, clear pricing, and services tailored to individual needs. The program expands care levels from four to eight, allowing support to match exactly what is required. A simpler assessment process will be available through the Single Assessment Service.
Existing Home Care Package recipients will transition smoothly, with current support levels maintained.
An information session will be held on Wednesday, October 22, from 2:30pm to 4pm at St Paul’s Aged Care in Caboolture. Attendees can ask questions and learn more about the program.
