Queensland’s agriculture, fisheries, and forestry sectors will receive a major boost with the introduction of 100 additional biosecurity officers starting in December.
This move is part of the Crisafulli Government’s strategy to strengthen biosecurity efforts and support the agriculture industry’s goal of reaching $30 billion in output by 2030.
The officers will focus on detecting and responding to threats, ensuring the state’s world-leading biosecurity standards.
Additionally, a $30 million Sowing the Seeds of Farming Innovation Fund will drive new technologies, and a $12.5 million investment will support the Mossman region, demonstrating the government’s commitment to rural communities.
