Caboolture arrests
Police were patrolling Lower King Street, Caboolture, when they conducted a check on a silver Nissan Navara at about 10.50pm on May 15.
It is alleged the vehicle was bearing stolen registrations plates that were reported stolen between May 14 and 15 from a Carnarvon Drive, Beerwah, address.
It is further alleged the vehicle was driven onto the Bruce Highway where it crashed, and a passenger fled the vehicle before being apprehended by police.
The driver, a 19-year-old Caboolture man, allegedly continued to drive the vehicle across a nearby field and ended up bogging the vehicle before being arrested and transported to Caboolture Hospital for treatment.
While at the hospital, the 19-year-old Caboolture man allegedly spat in the face of a security guard.
He was charged with dangerous driving, evade police, stealing, receiving stolen property, unlicensed driving, driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle, possession of a dangerous drug, obstruct police, causing a public nuisance and serious assault.
He is set to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on June 13.
In a separate incident, police arrested an 18 year-old Northgate man with receiving tainted property, using a vehicle with stolen plates and driving an unregistered vehicle and driving an uninsured vehicle.
Police intercepted the vehicle at a Bruce Highway Service station at Burpengary East at about 10.30pm on April 15, after police found the registration plates were stolen.
The vehicle was bearing a pair of Queensland registration plates which were reported stolen from a vehicle in Snowdon Street, Slacks Creek, between February 2 and March 13, 2021.
He is set to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates court on June 14.
A 20-year-old Northgate woman was arrested for possession of a dangerous drug and possession of a drug utensil after cannabis and a pipe were located in the vehicle.
She is set to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on June 14.
