Charges dropped against former Moreton Mayor

Criminal charges against former Moreton Bay Regional Council Mayor Allan Sutherland have been dropped, a little more than two years after he was suspended as Mayor.

Mr Sutherland was charged with two counts of misconduct in relation to public office, with the Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) undertaking an investigation.

The charges related to the upgrade of a road which would have impacted on a property which he owned in Burpengary.
