D’Aguilar Highway at risk of flooding
Travellers on the D’Aguilar Highway are warned of potential closures today, as creeks and rivers continue to rise.
The Somerset Regional Council flood camera at the Kilcoy Creek crossing on the east side of of Kilcoy is currently out of action, only providing blurred images.
Kilcoy Creek is rising, and forced the bridge to be cut late this morning.
Although not showing as closed, there are also reports of Post Office Creek and One Mile Creek continuing to rise, and these may cut the D'Aguilar Highway as runoff from storms in the last 24 hours feed into the creek systems.
Travellers are warned that if there is water over the road, to heed the ‘If it is flooded, Forget it’ message.
