Disability network meets
MORE than 50 representatives from across the disability support sector gathered at Caboolture Golf Club on Tuesday, 3 June, for the latest Moreton Bay Disability Network meeting.

Established in mid-2024, the network now meets quarterly to foster collaboration and share knowledge among service providers. Co-facilitator Mandy Barker from Care Agency Services said the initiative is focused on “collaboration, knowledge exchange, and building relationships to benefit the participants we serve.”
Guest speaker Rob Ryan from the Parents Research Centre highlighted how technology—such as apps and websites—through the Raising Children Network is improving access to resources for parents, carers, and support workers.
Tracey Shaw from National Disability Services (NDS) also provided an update on the broader disability sector and current NDIS reform agenda. The NDIS has fuelled a decade-long boom in disability services, leading to a wide variety of supports now available, from allied health to home care and community access.
