Disability Week events take over Moreton Bay
City of Moreton Bay’s Disability Action Week celebrations from 24 November to 1 December, will include a series of inclusive workshops and activities, headlined by a free live music event, Beats by the Beach at Bribie Island Seaside Museum.
On Friday, 29 November, from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM, a special family event celebrating inclusivity and accessibility will take place as part of Disability Action Week. The event will feature AUSLAN interpretation by the vibrant Mikey Webb and performances by:
MC Wheels, a Sunshine Coast hip-hop artist known for his moving music and inspiring journey.
Miss Hayley, an indie-folk singer-songwriter and founder of Music Studio 60, a Braille music school.
Neurodive, an all-abilities rock band dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities through music.
Leanne MacDonald, a teenage singer-songwriter with a unique, genre-blurring style.
Mayor Peter Flannery highlighted the importance of Disability Action Week, which promotes inclusivity and raises awareness about the rights of individuals living with disabilities.

Thurs 28 Nov: Team Building and Damper at YMCA Camp Warrawee.
Fri 29 Nov: Kids Club & Wheelchair Basketball in Morayfield.
Sat 7 Dec: Wheelchair Dancing in Morayfield, offering fitness and fun in an inclusive setting.
