With nine enthusiastic clubs competing, the event promises thrilling action and spirited competition.

Adding a unique twist, the Health Professionals Challenge will feature three teams of doctors, nurses and support staff vying for victory. This special category highlights the teamwork and resilience of those who care for the community, showcasing their camaraderie off the frontlines.

For those seeking a more relaxed experience, the social category allows paddlers to enjoy the fun and excitement of dragon boat racing without the pressure of intense competition.

Spectators will also be treated to a Lion Dance performance at 11am, bringing vibrant cultural flair and energy to the day.

Food lovers won’t miss out either, with a BBQ serving a variety of tasty options available for purchase.

Whether you’re a seasoned dragon boat enthusiast or a curious newcomer, this event at Sylvan Beach, hosted by Dragon Boat Pumicestone on the beautiful Pumicestone Passage, promises something for everyone.

Mark your calendars and come along for a day of fun, food, and festivities. Don’t forget your camera to join the ‘Snap the Spirit’ photographic competition, with a $200 cash first prize. Full details will be available from the information booth on the day.
