Ensure pets are registered
The City of Moreton Bay is urging dog and cat owners to register their pets and keep their contact details up to date as part of an effort to improve animal welfare and safety.

Mayor Peter Flannery emphasized that accurate registration records help the Council quickly reunite lost pets with their owners.
“It’s important to notify Council if you’ve moved, changed phone numbers, or if your pet has been desexed, rehomed, or sadly passed away,” Mayor Flannery said. “You can also choose to receive your animal renewal notices by email, and eligible residents can apply online for pensioner concessions on pet registration.”
“Keeping your pet registered and their details current is a simple yet vital step to ensure their safety and wellbeing in our community.”
Pet registration is mandatory for all cats and dogs within 14 days of moving to the region or by 12 weeks of age. Owners can register, update details, or apply for concessions online at www.moretonbay.qld.gov.au/animals.
