The countdown to Christmas is officially on, and the Esk Community Choir is inviting residents to step into the festive season at its 35th annual Christmas Concert, set for Sunday, December 7.
This year’s celebration promises an extra burst of energy with the addition of the Somerset Tappers, a lively local tap-dancing troupe known for their infectious rhythm and stage presence.
Their performance will join a program filled with choral favourites, seasonal classics, and a special appearance by Full Spectrum Brass, a brass ensemble from the Queensland Symphony Orchestra.
Audiences can expect a colourful mix of music, movement, and Christmas cheer, along with raffles offering impressive prizes—including a family pass to Australia Zoo.
The concert begins at 2.30pm at the Somerset Civic Centre. Tickets are $25 for adults, while children under 12 can attend for free and enjoy arts and crafts plus a delicious afternoon tea.
Tickets are available at somersetciviccentre.com.au, Two Galahs Gallery in Toogoolawah, the Civic Centre Box Office, or via the QR code on the Esk Community Choir website at www.eskcommunitychoir.com.au
Organisers say the event is the perfect way to welcome the holiday season—and celebrate a longstanding community tradition.
