Excited Snakes to host junior league deciders
CABOOLTURE Snakes Junior Rugby League Club is ecstatic with the news that the club’s ‘Snake Pit’ has been chosen to host grand final day on August 7.
A post on the CJRLC facebook page said it all: “This is huge!”
A large representation of clubs is expected to take part, with deciders to be played from U13s through to U17s.
The occasion is “once in a blue moon”, with CJRLC media manager Jan Cripps saying she and others could not remember the last time that grand final day was staged at the Caboolture venue.
Cripps said the Snakes were “very excited as a club” to host grand final day.
“This is expected to be a huge day not only for the players and coaches, but also for our awesome volunteers slithering in to help out,” she said.
“Without them, we would not be able to get through all the great things planned for the day, from our U6s to U12s helping out as ball boys, the awesome canteen ladies and gents, scorers and timers, gate monitors, ground controllers, and the list goes on and on.
“It’s definitely going to be a day for the record books and we can’t wait.”
