Fundraising for World Cup dream
Moreton Bay softballer Cameron White (pictured) is getting closer to making his World Cup dream a reality, and he would welcome any assistance from the local community.
Costs are proving high for Cameron, who has been selected for Australia in the inaugural World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) U23 Men’s Softball World Cup.
Australia is set to be among 12 competing nations in the inaugural tournament, held in Argentina from April 15 to 23 after the plane leaves on April 6.
To reduce costs, the Moreton Bay softballer has signed up through the Australian Sports Foundation to receive donations, where all donations above $2 are tax deductible.
Additionally, a fundraiser slow pitch day for Cameron will take place at Redlands Softball Association on Saturday March 25.
