The Queensland Government is set to strengthen trade ties with Japan and South Korea through a trade mission next week.

Trade Minister Ros Bates will meet key industry leaders, including ENEOS, Nippon Steel, and POSCO International, in Tokyo, Osaka, and Seoul.
The mission includes 25 meetings over five days, focusing on resources, renewables, and health sectors.
Japan and Korea account for 28% of Queensland’s $112.8 billion export market, with coal, gas, and beef as key exports.
The government aims to boost investment, economic growth, and job creation while reinforcing ties with these critical trade partners.
