Seventeen brave staff and students shaved their heads and beards in front of the school, including the school chaplain, Lachie, who shaved off his trademark beard and long locks to raise $3,000, and school captain Lachlan Scudamore who raised $2,275.

Many students also opted to colour their hair.

Coinciding with Harmony Day, the school also had a number of music performances, BBQ, dress-up competitions and fundraising stalls organised by the Year 8 business students.

The total donation amount is still being tallied from the various student-run stalls, however it is expected to be at least $20,000.

Funds raised from the school’s World’s Greatest Shave event will support the Leukaemia Foundation’s fight against blood cancer.
