How to ease cost-of-living
The Queensland Country Women’s Association (QCWA) Burpengary Green Wattles Branch will stage its first workshop of the year this Saturday, with a focus on lunchbox lessons.
The Burpengary Green Wattles will stage monthly workshops as part of a Life Skills program, which aims to help people learn basic life-long skills which may help them deal with cost-of-living pressures.
This Saturday’s workshop will give ideas and tips on how to fill lunchboxes for work and school with simple, tasty and nutritious items.
Later this year, themes of the workshops will include feeding a family on a budget, vehicle maintenance, home maintenance, and gardening.
This Saturday’s workshop will start at 9.30am at the Burpengary Men’s Shed on Maitland Road. Entry is $5 per person, with limited spots available.
Bookings can be made by calling Lyn on 0409 195 163.
