The juniors aged from 5 to 11 years had their clinic from 9am to 10.30am before the juniors from 12 to 18 years of age had their clinic from 10.30am to noon.

The juniors came from the Caboolture, Redcliffe, Narangba and Souths Logan rugby league clubs while special guests were Dunamis Lui and Albert Kelly, both former National Rugby League (NRL) players and current Redcliffe Dolphins QRL players.

As the founder of Wise Up Rugby League, Lui was involved in his first clinic to kickstart his new business.

The juniors took part in a number of skills and drills, and they learned first-hand some tips and tricks from Lui and Kelly while a few other development coaches also contributed.

There was also a free barbecue and drinks, while background music also contributed to a great vibe.

Snakes junior rugby league president Nate Findlay said he was happy to host Lui’s first clinic with Wise Up Rugby League, and to “give the Caboolture Snakes the opportunity for extra footy during the holiday period where regular club footy trainings cease”.

“Dunamis reached out to me and offered the clinics, and together we made it happen,” he said.

“Coming from current players for the Dolphins Hostplus Cup team, the exposure for the kids is fantastic and there will be more of them.”

Lui, who also made one State of Origin appearance for Queensland in 2020, also offers one-on-one sessions in Caboolture.
