Kilcoy changing hair for good cause
Kilcoy locals are sharpening the clippers and firing up the barbecue for a good cause, as the Kilcoy Sports Centre hosts the Shave for a Cure on Saturday, May 31, from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm.

The event invites community members to shave, trim, or spray-colour their hair in exchange for a donation, all in support of cancer research and support services.
Kids can join in the fun too with a splash of temporary colour, while parents can enjoy a $1 sausage sizzle and take part in raffles and games.
Organisers are encouraging everyone to come down, cheer on participants, and get involved in any way they can.
Two local legends, Mitch Evans and Lee Mellors, are going all-in for the cause—Mitch will be parting ways with his iconic dreadlocks, and Lee will be trading in his long locks for a much shorter style.
There will also be prizes for kids, including a mini obstacle course challenge, and raffles featuring great prizes donated by local businesses and residents.
Anyone who can’t make it on the day can still support the event by donating a prize or scanning the QR code to donate online.
