Lunar eclipse tonight

Tonight will feature the last total lunar eclipse for three years, with the moon to turn shades of rust and blood red.

The eclipse can be viewed from all around the country just after moonrise, wherever there are clear skies.

The best viewing time in Queensland will be from 8.15pm to 9pm.
