More hands on deck needed for show prep
The Kilcoy P.A. & I. Society is calling on community members to help with preparations for the 2025 Kilcoy Show, happening Friday 25 and Saturday 26 July.
Organised entirely by volunteers, the beloved local event now needs extra hands from Saturday 19 July through Thursday 24 July to get the showgrounds ready.
Tasks include setting up tables, chairs, tents, signage, lighting, fencing, display boards, and preparing the pavilions. Light duties are available for those wanting smaller jobs.
On Sunday and Monday, everything stored in the pavilions must be cleared to allow stewards and stallholders to set up displays and prepare for judging, which happens Wednesday and Thursday.
Thursday 24 July will be the busiest day, with livestock arriving for Friday’s cattle events, trade site holders setting up, and final preparations across the grounds, including timber sports, animal enclosures, canteens, and signage.
All volunteers should sign in at the Show Office upon arrival.
