MS Qld MyHealthTeam Redcliffe Swimathon

HI, I am looking for donations or to start a team, that can help with this year’s MS Qld MyHealthTeam Redcliffe Swimathon

My name is Karen, I am married to a wonderful husband, and I have a lovely daughter. I was diagnosed with MS in 2013. It was definitely not an easy road to my diagnosis, I had symptoms of MS for 10 years or maybe even more beforehand, but they were not consistent, so my diagnosis was delayed.

MS Qld is gathering the donations and they provide services that include our NeuroAssist information line, NDIS access and planning support, specialist nursing services, wellness programs and financial assistance to access critical equipment and services for those who need it most.

Since joining the first MS Swimathon in Redcliffe in 2018, I alone have raised over $9,000! The funds raised through the MS Swimathon and going to MS Qld are vital in providing services to almost 4,000 Queenslanders living with MS.

This year in 2023 on the 21st May, at the Redcliffe Memorial Swimming pool, I am looking at raising funds, not just for myself. I mainly wish to raise funds for my team. Unfortunately over the years, the members of our team, our MS has progressed. This means that some of us are finding it difficult to fundraise (due to MS issues) and therefor I am asking for funding for the team. Our team ‘MS Warriors’ is asking for your kind donation. We are looking to raise $10,000.

The MS Swimathon community is changing lives together and helping to ensure no one faces MS alone.

We are asking for you to take action and let your network know you are swimming and raising funds, to fight MS and helping almost 4,000 Queenslanders living with MS with your generous donations.

If you wish to join a team, or make your own team or make a donation, please contact: MS Qld, Natalie – Natalie.godbold@msqld.org.au, ph: 07 3840 0863

With kind Regards, Karen Patzer
