QFCC commissioner reappointed
Luke Twyford has been reappointed as Principal Commissioner of the Queensland Family and Child Commission (QFCC) for a further three years.
Luke Twyford has been reappointed as Principal Commissioner of the Queensland Family and Child Commission (QFCC) for a further three years.
With over 20 years of experience in child protection reform and youth justice, Twyford has also led responses to royal commissions.
He will continue to chair Queensland’s Child Death Review Board, overseeing preventative measures following child deaths in the protection system.
Attorney-General Deb Frecklington praised his deep understanding of the sector and commitment to strengthening child protection.
Mr Twyford expressed his honour to continue advocating for the safety and wellbeing of children and families in Queensland.
