Rain and storms this afternoon
Parts of the Somerset and Moreton Bay region can expect heavy rain and possible storms this afternoon.

While a storm warning is current for parts of the district, at this time the worst storms are not expected to pass through Somerset or Moreton Bay, see the storm warning here.
Despite this, the region can expect potentially heavy rainfalls, leading to possible road closures or flash flooding.
Drivers are advised to avoid all flood waters, due to the risk of road damage or hidden debris, as well as the risk of being washed away.
Moreton Bay residents, particularly this between Woodford and Caboolture can also expect heavy rainfalls over the next few hours.
