Rockin’ country beats

CABOOLTURE was buzzing last Saturday as the GemLife Urban Country Music Festival took over the Showgrounds.

More than 15 country artists hit the stage throughout the day, giving crowds a full line-up of entertainment, with a Big Breakfast kicking things off.

This year’s festival proudly backed 121 Networks Ltd, a grassroots charity tackling hidden homelessness among older Australians. All funds raised will help provide safe, secure housing for vulnerable people in the region.

A standout moment of the event was the Stardust Talent Quest, in which over $20,000 in prizes were awarded to country music artist winner Chloe Swannell.

The popular event, held at the Caboolture Showgrounds on October 4, drew emerging talent from across the region, with over 50 nominations having been received for the competition.
