THE Kilcoy State High School Class of 1975 returned to where it all began on November 22, celebrating 50 years since finishing Year 10 with a reunion filled with smiles, laughter and shared stories.
The milestone gathering began with an afternoon tour of the school grounds, where past students and teachers revisited familiar buildings and saw firsthand how the campus has expanded over five decades.
Many were delighted to see several original facilities still standing and in use.
Festivities continued at the Kilcoy Exchange Hotel, where display boards lined the walls with class photos, speech night programs, report cards and images of the school through the years.
A special memorial board honoured classmates “taken too soon,” reminding everyone of the preciousness of time and the friends they still hold dear.
James Pratten and teacher Peter Finnegan were selected to cut the cake, made by Coff & Co Bakery.
