Despite the scoreline, Caboolture showed grit and composure against professional opposition, fielding a heavily changed side, with a number of trialists joining some of the regular players in the starting line-up.
The match offered the Caboolture side a crucial test of pace, fitness, and teamwork as they continue preparations for 2026.
The Roar opened their account just six minutes in with a looping strike from the right flank, before adding a second through a header from a corner at the 19-minute mark.
Caboolture defended bravely throughout the first half but were undone by a quick burst of goals, as Brisbane found the net three times in four minutes before half time, making it 5–0 at the break.
Caboolture regrouped after the restart, tightening their defence and limiting chances before Brisbane added a sixth in the 59th minute from a low shot across goal.
While the Roar’s class showed, Caboolture FC’s determination and teamwork drew praise, with several players showcasing strong tackles, well-timed runs, and creative passing under pressure.
The opportunity to face elite competition would only help strengthen their squad and inspire further development in the lead-up to the new season.
The Caboolture Snakes will now return to training, using lessons from the clash to sharpen their form for their 2026 campaign.
