Snap a $200 shot at DragonFest 2025
A $200 cash prize is up for grabs in the ‘Snap the Spirit’ photography competition, part of DragonFest 2025 on Sunday, September 14.
Shutterbugs are invited to capture the thrill and colour of the dragon boat races on the Pumicestone Passage, with the competition welcoming entries from all skill levels, from hobby photographers to seasoned professionals.
A panel of special guest judges will select the winner, while the community will decide the $100 People’s Choice award through Facebook voting.
DragonFest promises a feast for the senses, with teams ranging from novice social paddlers and local health professionals competing in the inaugural Health Professionals Challenge, to experienced dragon boat crews travelling from as far north as Fraser Coast and as far south as Tweed.
Alongside the fast-paced racing, festivalgoers can enjoy a lively atmosphere featuring Lion Dancers, a family-friendly BBQ, coffee van, and plenty of entertainment on the shore.
