State budget highlights for Moreton Bay
Some of the highlights from the State Budget for Moreton Bay Region include:
Woodford Youth Detention Centre
A new youth detention centre will be built at the Woodford Correctional Precinct.
Woodford State School
$1.3 million to upgrade an existing amenities block.
Bruce Highway (Brisbane - Gympie), Caboolture - Bribie Island Road to Steve Irwin Way upgrade
$42.4 million towards upgrading the Bruce Highway between Caboolture - Bribie Island Road and Steve Irwin Way. Delivered in partnership with the Australian Government.
Abbey Museum art gallery and café - Abbey Medieval Festival Site redevelopment
$1.4 million for a new art gallery, cafe, and event infrastructure for the Abbey Museum Festival. Part of the Regional Tourism Recovery Program.
Caboolture Satellite Hospital
$78.9 million to deliver 7 satellite hospitals that will each include a Minor Injury and Illness Clinic and various specialty outpatients services.
Caboolture Hospital
$41.3 million for the redevelopment of the Hospital and refurbishment of critical clinical support services, an 8-chair Chemotherapy Unit and a multi-storey carpark. Part of the Community Health and Hospitals Program, delivered in partnership with the Australian Government.
Caboolture West catalytic water supply and sewerage infrastructure
$21.1 million for essential water and sewerage infrastructure necessary to assist in delivering new land supply for housing development in Caboolture West. Part of the Building Acceleration Fund, delivered in partnership with the private sector.
Morayfield Ambulance Station
$6.7 million to deliver the new ambulance station to support the delivery of pre-hospital ambulance responses services.
Deception Bay Branch Little Athletics Centre Inc.
$1 million towards a synthetic running track on Zammit Oval at Deception Bay.
Deception Bay State School
$4.3 million in 2023-24 out of a $8.2 million total spend to deliver a new hall facility.
Moreton Bay Central new permanent fire and rescue station
$3 million in 2023-24 out of a $6.8 million total spend to continue a new permanent fire and rescue station at Moreton Bay Central.
The Redcliffe District Rugby League Football Club
Incorporated (Dolphins)
$2 million for development of new high quality floodlights to the Redcliffe Dolphins.
Moreton Bay Housing and Homelessness Services Hub
$1 million for the demolition and redevelopment of the existing Old Pensioners Hall facility into a combined services centre to support homelessness. Part of the 2021-24 South East Queensland Community Stimulus Program.
Bruce Highway (Brisbane - Gympie), Gateway Motorway to Dohles Rocks Road upgrade funding commitment
$23 million towards upgrading the Bruce Highway between Pine River and Dohles Rocks Road. Project cost, scope and timing subject to further planning and negotiation with the Australian Government. Delivered in partnership with the Australian Government.
