The highlight is the unveiling of a large-scale mural by local artist Abraham Tongia, commissioned through the City of Moreton Bay’s Art At Large program.

This mural caps off a major two-year transformation of the Burpengary Sports Complex at 111 Station Road, featuring new urban-style play and recreation facilities designed to reflect the energy and creativity of the local youth and family community.

Upgrades include an extended skate park with new ramps and street features, a brand-new urban half basketball court, a city-first 3-metre-high climbing structure, and now this striking street-art mural.

Locals are invited to meet Abraham, learn how he incorporated technology into his creative process, and enjoy free pizza while experiencing the precinct’s vibrant new atmosphere.

The redesigned space aims to be a social hub where residents can gather, connect, and express themselves — whether skating, climbing, shooting hoops, or just enjoying the art.

Everyone is welcome to join this celebration of creativity and community.
