Tattoos, motorbikes and fun at D’Aguilar on Saturday

The wait is nearly over for this year’s tattoo and motorbike show, as more than 200 people are expected to flock to the D’Aguilar Hotel this Saturday for the annual event.

In its third year, the event aims to bring the community together for a day of entertainment and fundraising in addition to focusing on tattoos and motorbikes.

Event organisers from the Viking Breed Social Motorcycle Club (VBSMC) will continue their support of the Rural Fire Service, as this year’s funds go to the Stanmore Rural Fire Brigade (RFB).

“The fire service is an integral part of any community, not to mention it involves a lot of volunteers,” a VBSMC spokesperson said.

“We want them to know they are a valuable asset, as they don’t always receive the appreciation they deserve.

“Rural areas can be susceptible to fires at any time of year, so we should recognise the dedication of the fire services as well as the work they do.”

Eleven categories are set in place for each of the tattoo and motorbike components this Saturday, while there will also be raffle prizes, meat trays, stalls and live music.

The venue will include an expanded sheltered dining area after the event was affected by rain on previous occasions.

The cost will be a gold coin to attend the event, and $10 to enter the show.

Proceedings will run from 10am until about 5pm, with registrations closing at noon.

Aussie band The Radiators will perform live entertainment after 5pm.
