Funds were raised through a sausage sizzle and a gold coin donation as many students donned orange attire according to the event colour, while some of the scholars sported tutus, hats and face paint.

All students received a Chupa Chups lollipop, and activities included writing compliments and feel-good notes.

Prizes were named for best dressed, with Trinity Neale placing first as she dressed as The Lorax.

Charlie Humphreys placed second, and Kaylah Ford placed third.

One of the event organisers said everyone was nice to each other, making it an enjoyable day.

Having been a registered NDA school, Toogoolawah SHS has had school campaigns such as Orange Day since the program began in 2010.

Toogoolawah SHS was an ambassador school three years ago, and some of the school’s past and present students still feature in some promotional materials on the NDA website.
