These activites in 2022 included Christmas in July, a Spring Fair, a Technology Seminar, a Melbourne Cup Luncheon, then an Art Exhibition and St Patrick’s Luncheon in 2023.

The Seniors club has also been busy running two stalls at the Toorbul Community and District Association (TCDA) Markets on Christmas and Easter.

Each week, the Toorbul and Donnybrook Seniors Club has continued to hold Tai-Chi exercise mornings, indoor bowls, line dancing, craft and cards, as well as two Happy Hour socials held each month.

A special mention to the art work provided for the club by Carmen Tapper, who painted the club’s fridge cabinet.

The cabinet was the club’s first entry into the Community Street Library, which has now grown by four more bookshelves.

Additionally, congratulations to Carmen for her mural on the facilities block at Toorbul’s main boat ramp, encouraging onlookers to be more aware of the migrator birds visting our shores.

Continuing from last year’s edition, the club had published a 2023 calendar with dates of club activities featuring photos of Toorbul and surrounds provided by the Club members.

Toorbul and Donnybrook Seniors Club would like to thank the local politicians and businesses who support the club through promotion, providing raffle goods, and printing flyers and newsletters.

The Club will host a Christmas in July from 11am on Wednesday, July 19, before hosting a Spring Fair from 9am to noon on Saturday September 9.

Outgoing club president,  Bruce Hansford said, “I wish the incoming committee a successful year. For the members, I hope it is a year of good health and happiness!”
