Waraba’s first community sets in
The new city of Waraba, formerly known as Caboolture West, is rapidly taking shape as construction advances and the first residents move into Lilywood Landings.

The first four stages of the city’s inaugural residential community are nearly complete, with families already settling in. New homes are being completed each week, with a high proportion purchased by owner-occupiers.
Major infrastructure and environmental works are progressing alongside housing. Bulk earthworks are almost finished, construction of the community waterway continues, and rehabilitation of the Green Network along the Caboolture River is set to begin, keeping the natural environment central to Waraba’s identity.
Waraba’s first park is also nearing completion, featuring seating, winding paths, and play areas. Highlights include a bright river valley-themed playground, shelters, kick-and-throw spaces for football, and a half-court basketball area.
Lennium Development Manager Ian Worthington said the city’s progress over the past 18 months has been remarkable.
“There’s a real sense of excitement as each stage takes shape,” he said.
“You can feel the community coming alive with every new home completed, every family that moves in, and every milestone we achieve on site.”
Waraba is planned to eventually provide around 30,000 homes for an estimated population of 70,000 people. Lilywood Landings is the first residential community to develop within the city and has seen hundreds of lots sold since mid-2024.
