Wildlife Day returns to Esk

THE popular Care4esK Community Wildlife Information Day returns on Saturday, August 2nd.

This free special event has something for the whole family to enjoy, including a live Wildlife experience with Martin Fingland from Geckoes Wildlife.

Numerous presentations from experts in various fields of flora and fauna conservation are featured on the day, ready to answer native wildlife questions. These include Paul Revie from Wildlife Queensland, Scot McPhie from Birdlife Australia, Andrew Dinwoodie from Birdlife Australia Powerful Owl Project, Dr Meg Edwards from USQ, and Wesley Nielsen from Comfy Creatures.

Multiple lucky door prizes for attendees and cash-only ticketed raffles will be drawn throughout the day, with the winner of the Care4esK Wild Koala Day online raffle also being announced.

The unique prize was kindly donated by Preston Fisher from the renowned Crinkle Cut Garden Art.

Funds raised will go towards the voluntary work Care4esK undertakes for koala rescue, rehabilitation, and release across the Somerset Region.

Tickets for this fundraiser are still available to purchase online until 2pm of August 2. Follow the QR Code to register for the online raffle.

Come along and enjoy our Somerset Region’s only annual Wildlife Information Day, with free coffee and tea available onsite, delicious locally homemade cakes and goods for sale, along with a wide selection of native plants from Pete’s Hobby Nursery.
