Attendees will arrive between 5pm and 6pm before proceedings start at 6pm, with speeches followed by a dinner and cake cutting.

Caboolture and District Woodcrafters secretary Frances O’Reilly said the group undertook woodworking basics such as woodturning, pyrography, scroll saw, toy making, basic woodwork, carving, computer numerical control (CNC), milling and slabbing.

With the club able to use up to three sheds at the Caboolture Historical Village, the Caboolture and District Woodcrafters make and donate at least 300 toys to local charities each Christmas.

The club also does fundraisers, runs stalls, and participates in the Caboolture Show as well as events at the Caboolture Historical Village.

“We also undertake community requests as we share skills and a love of working with wood,” Frances said.
