Woodford Pool celebrates 30th Birthday and Australia Day
THURSDAY January 26 marked not only Australia Day, but also 30 years of the Woodford Community Swimming Pool, making for a large day of celebrations.
Gary, Mike, Jackie and Vonnie from the combined churches community on barbeque duty, preparing the free breakfast for Australia Day at Woodford Pool.
Kicking off at 8am, the combined churches community put on a free barbeque breakfast, followed by a number of live musical performances courtesy of the Woodford Vintage Vocals.
Attendees then had the opportunity to show off their thong skimming skills, before having a go on the pool inflatable.
A spokesperson from the combined churches community said they were excited to be part of the pool’s Australia Day celebrations yet again, especially to celebrate their 30th anniversary.
The Woodford Community Swimming Pool was opened by Cr. Patricia Camilleri of the Caboolture Shire Council on January 16 1993.
