Yowie Parkrun celebrates 2nd birthday
WITH perfect weather and Kilcoy Yowie Park looking its best, 35 walkers, runners and joggers completed the parkrun course on Saturday (6th February) as part of our 2nd Tutu birthday celebrations.
We had over a dozen parkrun tourists join locals and a few return visitors, including our visiting yowie (aka Neil). Our very own Councillor Cheryl Gaedtke achieved a new personal best, despite being distracted by the course yowie! Members of 8 different running clubs also enjoyed our mainly paved and flat course.
Yowie parkrun community has grown steadily since beginning in February 2019 and is a favourite location for parkrunners from all over Australia to visit.
